What happened in February?

Here’s all the stats and fun facts

February 2024 was a full and successful month for SA Safety as we continued to deliver rescue teams and specialist training across the southwest.  Our team has been busy delivering our services, while behind the scenes we’re celebrating gaining a new contract.  We’re delighted with our achievements this month and want to share some highlights with you!

Delivering specialist training in the southwest

Are you looking for a specialist training provider?  SA Safety offers a strong programme of specialist training for customers in the high-risk utilities, industrial, and manufacturing sectors.  This month we’ve delivered training courses across the southwest, on-site and at our dedicated training facility.

In total this month we’ve trained 141 students across 13 courses.  Students completed courses ranging from the 1-day Fire Warden course to specialist BA and live fire training for industrial fire teams. Why not take a look at all the training we offer right now?

As well as on-site training, we also deliver C&G Confined Space courses at our dedicated training unit in Newton Abbot.  Students successfully completed 6160-09 Level 2 Medium Risk Confined Space, and 6160-03 Level 2 award High-Risk Confined Space courses.

We offer a suite of City & Guilds accredited confined space courses tailored to your workers and your workplace. Get in touch today to discuss what we can do for you.

Keeping our Rescue Teams at the top of their game

CPD is important to us, and members of the SA Safety rescue team undertook their own specialist training course this month. Three members of the Rescue Team completed a specialist 3-day CPD course delivered by Outreach Rescue.  The Harken Artificial High Deviation training ensures the team has competency with this specialist equipment.

This training is part of our ongoing commitment to specialist CPD, to ensure that our team maintains a strong skillset for all rescue situations.

Rescue Teams on site

The Rescue Team was busy throughout February, delivering rescue and support services to customers in the high-risk utilities, industrial, and manufacturing sectors.

Working across the southwest, the Rescue Team clocked up an impressive 3960 Rescue Team person-hours and 570 rope access hours in February, supporting clients to maintain a safe working environment.

If you need Rescue Teams at your site for standby, support, and rope access work, speak to us.

New contract secured

Looking to the future, we’re delighted to announce that SA Safety secured a new 5-year contract in February.  The contract, with EPUKI Langage, is to supply rescue, rescue support, and rope access services at their site in Devon.  We look forward to working with you!

After such a busy month we needed some R’n’R. Some of us were lucky enough to get away to see Scotland v England at Murrayfield, enjoying a great weekend in Edinburgh with our partners from Denholm Industrial Services.  We all had a great time, but nobody’s talking about that late-night cycle rickshaw ride!
