We’re delighted to share that Rescue Team Lead Charlie Rusted has been selected by the Worshipful Company of Paviors to receive their City & Guilds Livery Company Prize for 2023.

Charlie collected his award on Monday 27 March in the magnificent setting of the Mansion House in central London. Charlie was accompanied to the ceremony by his mentor, our Managing Director Mark Shaddick, and was presented with his award by The Rt Hon, The Lord Mayor, Alderman Nicholas Lyons.

The Master Certificate Scheme recognises and encourages the outstanding achievements of those who embark on a ‘Career Based on Skill’ and excel in their chosen field. We’re proud to be able to share that Charlie won this prize as a result of his hard work and excellent learning achievements, including scoring an unbeatable 100% for Level 4 Award in Plan, Manage and Review Legislative and Safety Compliance for Work in Confined Spaces.

The annual Livery Company Prizes

The Livery Company Prizes, presented through The City & Guilds of London Institute, honour outstanding achievements from students who have taken C & G qualifications in the trade of a Livery Company.

Prizewinner Charlie was identified as an exceptional learner who had excelled in all of his studies. These included confined space training, now delivered by us as an accredited C & G training centre.

We’re really proud of Charlie for achieving this honour, for working hard and for being outstanding in his field. This attainment is a well-deserved recognition of his hard work, and makes him an asset to our Rescue Team. Well done Charlie, and well done to Mark, for mentoring him!
