About the role

From our base in the southwest of England, we provide 24-hour standby and support rescue teams for major organisations in the industrial, utilities and defence sectors. As a Confined Space Rescue Technician in our technical rescue team you’ll be providing critical support and rescue services for customers at locations across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Performing all duties as assigned by the Rescue Team Manager.
  • Ensuring all appropriate personal protective equipment is worn at all times.
  • Ensuring all Risk Assessments and Method Statements are completed accurately and stored correctly.
  • Understanding of client work permits procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with our team members to ensure works are operating safely.
  • Always ensuring availability whilst on shift to affect a rescue.
  • Maintaining competence at rescue techniques and assist in rescues as directed.
  • Participating in required training and demonstrates a working understanding of safe working practices.
  • Ensuring their training accreditations are current and suitable for work undertaken.
  • Inspecting and verifying equipment prior to use.
  • Recognising worksite hazards and notifying the Rescue Team Lead of any unsafe conditions.
  • Actively participates in toolbox talks and practical demonstrations of rescue techniques.
