How we build skills resilience
We’re committed to building skills resilience throughout the team. A strong programme of CPD is an essential requirement for all members of our Industrial Support team.
Team members undertake regular practical and theoretical refresher training to maintain their practical skills and to update their knowledge base, thus ensuring they can continue to work at the highest level of professional competence.

Our programme of CPD is designed to:

CPD: how we train
Rescue Team CPD training covers essential confined space qualifications. Recent training included City & Guilds 6160-03 Working in High Risk Confined Spaces and City & Guilds 6160-08 Working as a Member of a Rescue and Recovery Team – The industry standard for high-risk confined spaces and an essential in our skills toolkit.
In addition, two of our team gained TAQA assessor and IQA assessor qualifications.
The Rescue team went on to gain essential rope access qualifications including ISO 22846 Rope Access level 1 & 2 courses for rope user and rope supervisor – the international standard for rope access in challenging and hard-to-access locations.
Because we’re SA Safety we also had a lot of fun during the training! A big thank you to Cal Rose and his team at R&M Utility for delivering the confined space courses and to Steve Fields from Rescue Specialist Limited for his instruction on the ISO 22846 courses.
