Could you be a leader in a company that is making a difference?

We are seeking talented individuals to help us build something unique. You will join us in an emerging leader role, growing to become a key player in our senior management team. A future leader, you will have a portfolio of transferrable skills and the vision to deliver the future success of the business.

About us

Based in the southwest, SA Safety operates across the UK delivering rescue teams, industrial support, and accredited training to the high-risk utilities, industrial and manufacturing sectors. We specialise in the provision and delivery of specialist training, rope access, standby rescue teams, rescue support teams, industrial cleaning, and face fit testing.

SA Safety is a values-based organisation, whose purpose is to deliver and support growth with passion. Developing sustainable long-term relationships is key to our business ethos and our clients return to us as part of their continuing programmes of improvement, trusting us to deliver specialist training and services solutions which provide resilience by creating a safer workplace.

About the role

This is an emerging leadership role. The team that grew SA Safety into the leading industrial safety business it is today wants to bring new talent on board. We want to safeguard the future of the company by embracing fresh thinking, bold ideas and future growth while retaining the values that make us unique. The successful candidates will join us at our offices in South Devon and work with us to learn our business from the inside out. You will develop a deep understanding of all practical and managerial elements and learn what makes SA Safety tick as you grow into a future leadership role.

Requirements

A background in industrial safety is not essential for this role. You may be a project manager, a training development manager, a business administrator. What is important is that you have vision, integrity, empathy, and skills that set you apart as an inspirational leader. You will be an innovator, one who can drive change and development, communicate ideas effectively, and always inspire trust.

Your skills:

  • We have a vision for SA Safety – have you got what it takes to achieve or exceed it? You will be a strategic thinker, able to hold a vision for the future and to take the steps required to achieve it, able to plan for future opportunities, overcome obstacles and lay out the framework for future growth and success.

  • You’ll be able to develop and share your vision in ways that help others understand it, remember it, and go on to share it themselves. You’ll inspire our team members to appreciate the value of their role in the overall direction of the organisation.

  • Excellent communication skills are a must-have. You will excel at communicating effectively both verbally and on the page to share ideas, strategies and feedback within the company and to the wider audience.

  • Change management: we want people in place who can secure sustainable growth and development. You’ll need the ability to plan, guide and embed the changes required for creating a future vision.

  • SA Safety is a values-based organisation, whose purpose is to deliver and support growth with passion. We value our team and they reward us with their hard work, commitment and loyalty. You will need the proven ability to manage others, in one-on-one settings and in groups, with compassion, assertiveness and integrity.

  • Our agile business model enables us to be responsive to the needs of our clients which in turn keeps them returning to us. You’ll need to respond positively to challenging situations, be open to developing novel solutions, and be able to think outside the box.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Support and mentoring to develop into the role
  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Workplace pension
  • Private medical insurance

Additional Information

As a business, we value lived experience. As this is a future leader role, a background in industrial safety is not essential. We expect you to grow and develop into this role, incorporating the discipline and skills you have gained in other areas of your life. We are proud to invest in our people and will provide the environment for you to succeed, including a strong mentoring programme.

We are committed to encouraging and achieving a working environment which is underpinned by fairness to all individuals, where equality and diversity is recognised, encouraged and valued, and the concept of individual responsibility is accepted by all.
