City & Guilds Award Working In High Risk Confined Spaces
The City & Guilds 6160-03 High Risk Confined Space training course is designed for people who enter and work in high risk confined space environments.
Delegates will learn how to prepare for confined space work, enter and exit high risk environments safely, use specialist equipment and tools, follow safe working procedures, and respond to emergencies.
The course reflects the relevant National Occupational Standard for working in high risk confined space environments in both water and non-water industry areas.
Who is it for?
The City & Guilds 6160-03 qualification is widely recognised across the water and utilities industries. It covers working in high risk confined spaces, including environments classified as NC4 or NCX, where specified hazards cannot be controlled or eliminated.
Training includes the use of full working self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) together with the procedures and equipment required for safe entry, working, and exit.
This is a highly practical three-day training course designed for all those who enter and work in high risk confined spaces, in both water and non-water industry areas, including:
- Water and waste management operatives working in sewers, chambers, wells, or water treatment plants.
- Construction and engineering workers entering deep trenches, structural pits, or foundational voids.
- Industrial maintenance engineers servicing large flues, boilers, storage tanks, and silos.
Good to know: City & Guilds 6160 confined space qualifications are recognised as the industry standard across the water and utilities sectors.
