Mark set up SA Safety after 24 years with the Fire and Rescue Service, where he went from operational firefighter to manager of the Access and Rescue School for the Fire Service Training Academy.
Mark developed and delivered the New Dimension Urban Search and Rescue Project and trained over 1000 fire service personnel. He holds a Diploma in Technical Response and Incident Management for Specialist Recovery. Mark specialises in training for confined space, Rescue 3 water, working at height and rope rescue. His long list of other qualifications includes NEBOSH, instructor level qualifications for fire behaviour, positive pressure ventilation, and Urban Search and Rescue. He holds a TAQA, City and Guilds Assessor, internal and external QA, and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor and is a Fellow of the Institute of Search and Technical Rescue.
